Reverse sewing technique: Home sewing machines usually have a reverse sewing button. At the beginning of stitching, sew two or three stitches straight and then sew two or three stitches backwards, so that the stitching will be very firm. Use this method to sew back and forth a few stitches at the end of the seam, and then cut off the end of the thread.
The combination of top and bottom lines: You can draw the top line to the back of the fabric and tie two knots with the bottom line. This method is not as sturdy as reverse stitching, but it can be used in situations where temporary fixation is needed.
Tips and auxiliary tools for using sewing machines:
Common presser foot: Ordinary presser feet are used for running in straight lines. When curling, aligning the edge of the presser foot with the fabric edge can sew beautiful straight lines. The locking foot is used for locking edges, and adjusting the needle spacing can adapt to fabrics of different thicknesses.
Auxiliary tools: Water eraser and gas eraser are used to draw patterns on fabrics, bead needles and needle inserts are used to fix pleats and position them, and fabric cutting scissors and small yarn cutters are used for cutting threads and cutting.
